1. Overview
ReviewSnap processes information only when you explicitly use the extension to create, manage, export, back up, or restore a review. It does not require an account and does not operate a remote data service.
2. Information handled
Depending on the action you choose, ReviewSnap may handle:
- Active tab URL and page title
- Annotation text and selected element description
- Marker coordinates and viewport dimensions
- A compressed screenshot of the visible tab area
- Review status, language, consent choice, and extension settings
A screenshot or annotation may contain information visible on the page you chose to review. ReviewSnap does not intentionally collect passwords, payment information, identity documents, health information, or personal communications.
3. Local storage and transfers
Working data is stored locally in your Chrome profile. ReviewSnap does not upload this data to the developer, sell it, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it for credit decisions. CSV, printed PDF, and JSON backup files are created only when you request them and remain under your control.
4. Chrome permissions
5. Retention and deletion
Data remains in your local Chrome profile until you delete individual annotations, clear ReviewSnap data, restore a different backup, or uninstall the extension. Files you export are retained wherever you choose to save them.
6. Security and remote code
ReviewSnap uses only code packaged with the extension and does not download or execute remote code. Because data stays on your device, the security of exported files and your Chrome profile also depends on your device and account security.
7. Children, changes, and contact
ReviewSnap is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page and, when appropriate, in the Chrome Web Store listing. For privacy questions, use the developer support contact shown on the ReviewSnap Chrome Web Store listing.
